e-Learning platform

The scope of the project was to develop a rich backend system to manage courses, online classes, recorded video classes, students etc. We built native mobile app for students to attend classes from mobile devices.

Scope

A large institute needed an elearning platform for online coaching and online exam for students.

Solution

We built the elearning platform for their students where students can enroll for courses and attend online classes.

Challenges

  • We had to build a large and secure video management system. We had to protect video classes so that students could not download them from devices and share them among others. Protecting IP was a challenge
  • The institute sells video-minute to students and we had to keep track of each minute that a student is consuming while watching a video class.
  • Many students wanted to download the videos so that they could watch it while they were not connected to the internet. We had to securely keep those video classes within the device to prevent any theft.

Solution

  • We designed a robust system very carefully to manage the complexity of the video classes, tracking minutes etc.
  • We protected the videos from unauthorized downloading by implementing high security within the device(Android and iOS)
  • We implemented a lot of security layers within the mobile app to protect the downloaded videos.
